Dicker Max
This is an illustration of the German Panzerjäger: Dicker Max. In 1941, the project of creating a heavy self-propelled gun was ordered for the purpose of tackling fortified bunkers. Two prototypes were built based on the chassis of Panzer IV. This heavy Panzerjäger was equipped with a 10.5 cm high-performance canon but production was stopped due to changes of requirements. For the 2 prototypes, one was destroyed during ammunition explosion, the other was sent back to Germany after considerable success against Russian T-34 tanks.

Tiger II of Schwere Panzerabteilung 505
Have been working on this Tiger II profile drawing last week. This is a Tiger II from the Schwere Panzerabteilung 505 with their unique marking of a charging knight on horseback. The heavy tank battalion was formed in January 1943 and fought at Kursk, refitted with Tiger II in 1944 and continue fighting at the Eastern front. The battalion's top scorers included Wilhelm Knauth with 68 tank kills and Heinz Mausberg with 50+ tank kills.
